Dinosaurs 101 Alamosaurus

Meet Mr. Alamosaurus!
He's a gentle giant with his friends who get to go on a tour with him.
Alamosaurus: al-a-moe-sore-us
Mr. alamosaurus was one of the last dinosaurs to live in the Mesozoic period some 252 - 66 million years ago.
He ate plants so his long neck was great for getting the lush green leaves from the trees for lunch, dinner, or an afternoon snack!
How tall was Mr. Alamosaurus? Well, if you got six of your friends together at school and had them all stand on your shoulders, Mr. Alamosaurus would have been as tall as the 7 of you!
No matter what you may have heard,, this dinosaur is not named after the San Antonio's Alamo! The original remains of this guy were actually found in New Mexico!
The name Alamosaurus comes from Ojo Alamo, the geological formation in which he was found.
