#2 on our list of Weirdest Dinosaurs is
Spikey Stygimoloch, Our Friend
His name--which can be roughly translated as "horned demon from the
river "--is a good indication of Spikey Stygimoloch's weirdness
quotient. This genus possessed the biggest, boniest noggin of any
pachycephalosaur ("thick-headed lizard"); presumably the males
head-butted each other for the right to mate with females (who clearly
were most attracted to the ugliest males).
