Did ya Know?

When the Bouncy Ball was invented?

In 1965, Norman Stingley compressed a bunch of rubber scraps together to find out that the end result was incredibly bouncy. This rubber was put under 3500 pounds of pressure per square inch. At first, the bouncy balls would fall apart and it didn't look like it was going to make it as a toy when it was presented to Norman's Boss. Then Norman took it to a company called Wham-O, who is well known for fixing the bugs in frisbees. After working with Wham-O, the bouncy ball was perfect and rolled onto store shelves later that fall! It has been a bouncing success since!
